I've compiled a list of things I need for this fall. Shoes are at the top of my list, I love these, I just might be able to find dupes for some of them :) Perfect to go with my favorite pair of jeans or dark skinny slacks.

Swatches

I included a pic of the blush in Peachtwist since I did not have it in my prior post...Gorgeous color!
Request was for the NYC and MAC blushes. I couldn't do a swatch on Sutton place peach by NYC because the color did not show up on my skin! It was very light, almost melted with my skin color.

New Lippies
Avon had their glazewear lip colors for 1.99 2 weeks ago so I ordered like 8 of them but I'm only keeping 3 because they others are really really terrible....Expect a review of them very soon.

The Maybelline lip polishes I didn't expect to find @ Dollar Tree. Rewind: What happened was I actually went back to grab more of the Diamond Shines and they sold out or stopped stocking them or etc etc. Saw the Lip Polishes and found 2 colors I liked...
I had one a few yrs ago & remembering that the formula was nice, this time around I really didn't know if I'd like them or not but I did open the second one to the left and did like that one alot...
$1 each, you can't beat that :)

Have a great weekend everyone!

Blush collection + Tell me about your first blush!

Blush collection
I know it isn't much and as much as I love blush I should have more :)
but you can only collect so much before they all start to look the same....

Tell me about your first blush!

I'd like to know what was the first blush you ever owned & wore all the time or if you didn't even know if it was the right color! I had one by Covergirl that I wore all the time, I'm not even sure if they make it anymore!
So tell me about your first blush in the comments section of this post :)
My Blush CollectionClick pic to enlarge

The Wet n Wild one on the lower central right called 'Spotlight Peach' is actually a blush that had 4 stripes..Well I accidentally dropped it and it cracked so I powdered it and re-pressed it as a 4 combo to make 1 color, it came out pretty interesting... haha

My new & first love blush by MAC in Peachtwist is not pictured, I just got another Peachtwist this past weekend, it was actually my first blush ever from MAC, I used it up like 3 times over

Ask me if you have any questions...If you want me to do swatches of them all please let me know!

CCO Haul-Birthday Haul!

I had a wonderful birthday! We went shopping at the outlets and I went shopping alone at the mall and then had a very late dinner at the Olive Garden. Very good day to spend with my husband and kids :)

My birthday haulage from the CCO was not all that I anticipated
:( As a matter of fact I'm still stunned and will be traumatized from what I saw at the CCO (ok, I'm over-exaggerating, lol). Overall I was very disappointed with what they had at the CCO. I hadn't been there in over 2 months and their stock deeply declined. There were only 3 kinds of MAC Paintpots, like 5 diff colors of piggies (and colors practically looked the same) and no 'mineralized' anything. The only kinds of e/s palettes they had were the Suite Array ones and Holiday lip gloss palettes....very upset over this I may never shop at that CCO ever....
On the bright side I did buy my very first ever Bobbi Brown product and I picked up 2 MAC 3D glasses, which I never had the chance to try. I did my best at picking out colors that caught my eye and I'm very happy with my purchases!

At the Olive Garden that same night I had the Chicken Marsala (Very tasty!)
..........................
Now on to the Haul.....

MAC 3D Glasses

-----------------------------------------------------------------
I've been eyeing this cream for a few weeks now and finally got it, it's the Burt's Bees Radiance Eye Cream with Royal Jelly. I love it! Review coming soon...

My new love, Bath and Body's Japanese Cherry Blossom, I have no idea why I waited so long to try this, it's amazing!

Warm Vanilla Sugar Shimmering Body lotion $2
:)
I love bargains like this

MAC Colour Craft Mineralized Blush in 'Daft Pink'

I'm not sure what it is about this color but it is like nothing I've ever seen before. The way it oxidizes on my skin is unbelievable. I bought another one last Monday and I'm thinking about buying 2 more :/

First ever Bobbi Brown product:
I've passed thru Saks & Nordstrom many many times and always thoughts Bobbi Brown was a little over-priced, but the quality is amazing. I always wondered about the brand so I decided to get this gorgeous lipstick. The color is Pink Beige but after I scanned thru alot of them I noticed the names are more of a predictable style, like 'Light Pink' 'Dark Beige', etc...
I love this color though, very pretty nude color, best of all it was $15 from the norm of $22 & I may need a backup of this one :)

A back-up of my favorite, MAC 'Lame'

Not sure what collection this color came from but Floral Fantasy is a unique color that looks more on the purple side in the pan but actually comes out more on the strong pink tone when applied

MAC Submarine: I've been wanting to try this color for the longest. It's a very pretty color, simple as that, a very nice almost turquoise sheened undertone.

My thoughts on the LORAC Double-feature Concealer

What they say it is....
"LORAC Double Feature delivers red-carpet-worthy correction and perfection. Cover undereye circles and hide blemishes with this oil-, paraben-, and fragrance-free full-coverage, long-wearing concealer stick and blend in with the blender ball. Then use the paraben-free, moisture-rich liquid highlighter to lighten and brighten under eyes, highlight your cheekbones, and help diffuse fine lines.
Made without:Parabens- Sulfates- Synthetic Fragrances- Synthetic Dyes - Phthalates....
The concealer and highlighter are color-coordinated and can be worn individually or together for the ultimate picture-perfect performance"

product: 3 stars out of 5

packaging: 5 stars out of 5

quality: 2 stars out of 5

overall : 3 stars out of 5

would buy again? no

where to buy: Sephora, sephora.com, Ulta stores, ulta.com

pros: packaging is amazing & wonderful, highlight portion of product is very nice-has good pigmentation and gives good light reflects, blender ball works only on face skin not for under eye skin.

cons: concealer doesn't conceal anything, concealer is greasy, concealer ends up CREASING into fine under eye lines, blender ball can't be used under eye since there is alot of tugging, only 3 color choices, over-priced ($24), not much of staying power.

My thoughts on it: I wish I could buy the highlighter separate because I really like it. I thought of just keeping it for the highlight portion but thought that would be a sin since the highlight amount is tiny and the whole unit cost $24. The concealer stick creased horribly on me. I have found that even cheaper brands of concealer don't crease on me. I have tried many concealers and can honestly say that this one is the worst of them all-which is disappointing since the highlighter is great and the packaging is super-great. At first I thought the blender ball was a bit too gimmicky and ridiculous, but the blender ball I found to be too harsh for blending under the eyes, especially since the ball isn't a smooth blender instead it skips and tugs on the skin, which is not good for under eye skin. The blender ball works great anywhere else on the skin like on the forehead, chin, and cheeks. I usually place the highlight directly on the lower portion of my undereye for the light refracting appearance.

Overall: Not completely satisfied w/this product. I would not recommend to anyone. Would not purchase ever again. LORAC will need to step it up a notch as far as the concealer goes. Would like for LORAC to make the highlighter available for purchase separately :)

Depotting Hip eyeshadows-Ghetto Palette!

I went rummaging thru my old makeup caboodle that mostly contained makeup rejects :) Anyways I ended up loving my old HiP eyeshadows again, especially the dark colors, but anyways, I decided to depot them and put them all in a palette. Yep, a ghetto palette of all palettes! I don't care anyways, it works, it's cheap and it's something you can have fun creating and making it your own. So here's how I did it:

Oh! and I happened to get the idea from the gorgeous LeCheryl, Thank you girl! Check out her version of her ghetto palette here. There is also another pretty lady, Cyndi, that made her's out of an Xbox case, see her version here.

What I used:

1. Candle

2. Lighter

3. Black DVD case

4. Fruit knife

5. HiP eyeshadow duo

6. Nail glue

Click pics to enlarge!

You don't have to use the candle I just find it easier. Some people just use the lighter. Isn't my lighter cute?
The nail glue is optional, actually I would have preferred using super glue or gorilla glue but this was the only glue I had on-hand. The fruit knife is also something that I needed because the knife has to have a very sharp & thin edge much like a razor so if you are going to do this please be careful. If you are underage please ask a parent for help.

Color I'll be demonstrating is 'Charged'

Candle is ready!

Yes, Before anything, I always have my palette open and close-by since glue can dry really fast.

Super important is to remove the sponge tipped applicator from the bottom compartment.
Open top & bottom all the way so that it looks like above.

Hold the pot like this, Hold over flame about 1.5 to 2 inches above, hold it there for a minute or so, or when you begin to smell faint plastic :P

This is the underside of the shadows, where the flame was targeting. Ready to be depotted.

Carefully with the fruit knife I find a good gap or opening on side of shadow and vertically put knife in, if it won't fit then I try a thinner knife or otherwise.
If you are doing this, be careful not to stab the shadows or bend the pan because it might warp the pan and ruin the shadow.

You should hear the glue making a sticky sound, and carefully move knife around to gently lift it up.

The second shadow...

Applying the nail glue...

I'm staggering my shadows and basically not putting them in order by name or shape or anything because I don't want to be tempted to just use the color duo and not venture out to try using other contour colors/mix n match, etc you know whatta mean?...So that's why it looks all 'mumbo jumbo' lol :)

I'm going to cover this portion of the case because the middle grip can dig into the shadow and that's not pretty! as you can see here it already did! gah! haha :D

Color on the corner is a Profusion color....

So that's it folks, hope you enjoyed, if you have any questions please ask me!

.

Here is my finished palette from the outside :)
.

I've added some decorative paper and also clipped out from a Nicka K catalog and decorated it, I'm thinking about adding a couple of more things on the outside and of course I'm working on adding more shadows...
